ABSTRACT

Perfusionists are important members of the Cardiovascular Surgery team. In open heart surgery, the heart and lung perform vital functions. Perfusionists who undertake his task without any legal safe guards are deserving of their efforts to obtain legal assurance and to fulfill their duty as heart surgeons until now without fail. Job descriptions are real so defined by job description and regulation. Active perfusionists are provided with training and authorization certificates to comply with the existing legal framework. In this study, we investigated the legal responsibilities and sanctions of perfusionists with physicians and other health personnel. As a result, job descriptions and job descriptions were made, but they could not have the legal assurance that corresponds to the high-risk transactions they made.
