Abstract
Observing the perfusion profession quality standards in hospitals with a heart operating room is one of the important areas where appropriate personnel performance leads to the provision of appropriate medical services. In order to measure and improve perfusion profession quality standards in our country, it is necessary to determine the current situation of professionals. Occupational standards guide clinical measurements on the other hand, evaluating clinical staff performance is crucial in increasing hospital efficiency and patient satisfaction. Perfusion occupational standards reflect competence levels at all stages of the process of using cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). The purpose of the professional standards is to guide the perfusionists, to increase the quality of service provided to patients by reducing the risks and the problems caused by the use of the CPB machine. This process also includes training of perfusionists and their awareness of coping with undesirable events that may occur during surgery, as well as situations requiring accurate and effective communication between the surgical team and the perfusionist. In this project, CPB perfusion applications in process in Türkiye has tried to follow the standards. Therefore, examined the perfusion of international professional standards, compared with practices in Türkiye. Made in comparison with the results as a result of determination of job quality standards in Türkiye and that can be done for Improving Employee Perfusionists assessments were attempted to be addressed.
